Location
Located between Middelburg and Bethal in Mpumalanga, Roodepoort offers easy access to regional infrastructure and transport routes. The area supports both open-cast and underground coal operations.
Monthly Output
Production reaches approximately 70,000 tons per month from opencast activities, with underground mining adding around 100,000 tons per month to total coal output.
Operations
Roodepoort Colliery features dual-mode mining, with both opencast and underground extraction. The site yields 4 seam and 2 seam coal, delivering consistent RB2 and RB3 grades.
Logistics
A dedicated wash plant is located just 20 km from the mine, supported by nearby rail sidings to streamline bulk handling, transport, and market distribution.

Rietkuil Colliery
Location
Situated 20 km from Delmas on the road to Leandra, this Mpumalanga site is ideally placed for large-scale coal operations and direct access to regional clients.
Monthly Output
This high-volume site delivers around 100,000 tons per month. On-site crushing and screening ensures the product meets specifications before dispatch.
Operations
Rietkuil Colliery is an opencast-only site extracting 5 seam, 4 seam, and some 2 seam coal. The main product is a 20 CV steam coal with 20% volatile matter.
Logistics
All regulatory approvals are in place, and the operation includes its own crushing and screening facilities to reduce haulage time and increase output efficiency.
